1UP: Roogoo Preview
SpiderMonk’s Roogoo is so cutesy, many people will probably give it a quick look and assume it’s not for them. And while the art is downright adorable, the game’s not at all what you’d think. It’s a puzzler that’ll seriously confound your brain — and charm that part of your heart that thinks puppies and kittens are cute as hell.
As in this summer’s original Xbox Live Arcade release, the upcoming Wii and DS games see players rotating a series of disks with shaped holes in them so that falling pieces can pass through. For instance, if a circle shape’s falling from the sky, the player must rotate the first disk so that the circle hole’s aligned with the descending piece, allowing it to reach the bottom disk.
