GOTY 2018: #3 Florence
In a game centered around relationships, family means the most. It takes less than an hour to play through Florence, but the debut game from Australian studio Mountains just might make you sob. It’s an affecting slice-of-life tale about 25-year-old Florence Yeoh, following her as she meets and falls in love with a street musician named Krish. Through simple yet evocative puzzles, the game explores the entirety of their relationship — the ups and downs, the highs and lows. But their relationship isn’t the one that has stuck with me.
