BacklogCritic: "Mulaka as a game is a fairly run-of-the-mill offering. The plot exists mostly to introduce major aspects of Tarahumaran mythology to the audience. The pacing of the game is fairly average, the gameplay formulaic, the combat and controls fun but choppy. However, as a piece of interactive art, Mulaka shines. What it lacks in originality, it more than makes up for in spirit. More than a game, Mulaka is a humanitarian effort and a bid to raise awareness about and preserve the native Tarahumaran population’s culture, mythology, and way of life. If that seems like a worthwhile cause to contribute to, Mulaka is worth the buy."
