As of this writing, it has been 33 years since the release of the NES in North America in 1985. The last licensed game released for the system in North America, Wario's Woods, was released 24 years ago on December 10, 1994. Past this point, a few unlicensed cartridges were produced, but this is where the official saga of the great gray box rolls its end credits. By 1995, most gamers had moved on into the fourth generation and beyond.
