This PS Move + Joystick Peripheral Needs Your Help to Make a Comeback!
It's been a few years since I've talked openly about what happened to the development of our PS Move Peripheral, and it's only now, after recently receiving countless emails and comments requesting to purchase our peripheral that I feel the time is right to finally talk about it.
First off, I just want to thank everyone that has shown interest in our PS Move Peripheral!
As I'm sure a lot of you had already figured out, the peripheral never made it to mass production. The PlayStation peripheral licensing program was interested in them at one point but, unfortunately, they chose to manufacture a different peripheral instead. We then tried bringing the idea to Razer, Madcatz and others. They each seems just as interested and eager as PlayStation, but ultimately nothing ever came of it.
We put a lot of time and effort into the project and tried desperately to find a different manufacturer, and then finally looked into the possibility of producing them on our own.
However, being a small indie team with a very modest budget, we found it impossible to mass produce the peripheral without assistance.
It seems it was merely too early to introduce, as we have been receiving more requests to purchase the peripherals now than ever before.
All of your comments, emails, and the many, many other people who have recently been asking about these peripherals are greatly appreciated. This newfound interest has led us to believe that the market has finally shifted in the right direction and the peripherals would now have a much better chance at success.
With a new selection of VR games out now that would be perfectly suited for this control scheme – Resident Evil, Skyrim, Fallout 4 to name a few – now seems to be the perfect time to reintroduce this concept to those who are able to make it really happen.
It really does mean a lot to us that people like yourself are still seeing the potential in our design and getting in-touch! I assure you that I'll be reaching out again to the PlayStation Peripheral Team to see if they would now reconsider.
Please don't stop showing your support for the peripheral! You can even email us directly if you'd like to talk more about them or to ask for updates.
Hopefully we'll have some good news for you all someday soon!
Thanks and Regards,
