GES writes: "Nioh is set in the late 1600 feudal Japan era, where you as William (an Irish Samurai….) must navigate japan to catch his enemy Edward Kelly(famed for making the supposable Philosopher stone and all round bad guy, also I think might be Irish too).

When you escape London the game actually starts, here you get your first taste of…..death, yes death(in my case) as the Oni/soldiers that you fight aren’t used to your Irish charm. You get 3 stances(High, mid, low) that you can use in combat, each stance gives you a bit better leverage in combat. My preferred fighting stance is low, this is a quick and most of the time deadly stance that will lower a soldier’s life quickly. When you get to Japan, you get to pick your Main and secondary weapon that you would be more proficient in(you have a choice of single Katana, Dual Katana’s, Axe, Spear and Kusarigama). The game isn’t an open world game when going to your next mission, but you do have different routes that you can take to get to your final destination. You only get a few save points in the game and this you do at prayer shrines when you die you get respawn back to the last Shrine you visited."
