Like any and all entertainment mediums, video games are slowly but surely developing and expanding their boundaries every day. From the leaps and bounds of graphical enhancements to the elegance of in-depth and captivating stories told through games, the growth of video games is evident in nearly every facet. Even light years past the humble beginnings for the medium, as the ends of the feasible experience seem reached, innovative ideas and functions still arise. And what can possibly be wrong with something new and great, right? Well, therein lies a conundrum in the reception and appreciation for new ideas.
