Keyboard for PlayStation 3

Sony announced at their press conference today, in Leipzig Game Convention, that a wireless bluetooth keyboard will be comming to the PlayStation 3. A full QWERTY keyboard layout will attach to your regular controllers and allow for in-game text messaging and out of game web navigation faster and easier, as well as helping you find the media you want if you use the PS3 as a Media Center.

Word of a Mouse input and touchpad mode also to be available into play in future games. In the keyboard, two shortcut buttons, a Communication and Message Box button, placed on the end of the keyboard, will enable users to switch to preset features on XMB such as "Friends" and "Message Box" during game play.

There is no word on a release date, yet.
