One of the biggest pieces of news to come out of E3 last month was Sony’s announcement of the new PlayStation 3 model. It’s essentially the same system as the current 40GB version, but it has an 80GB hard drive, and it’ll cost the now-standard $399.

And these systems are just around the corner. Sony’s official online store, Sony Style, now has the new 80GB PS3 available for pre-order; they’re going to ship on the first of September.
