This high school game developer just got honored at the White House

Playing video games can be a way to train certain parts of the brain. It has even been said that certain types of video games can even increase ones’ intellectual level. Well, what if someone created a video game that was aimed at encouraging education? That is exactly what a Northeast Philadelphia high school senior did and he is being honored for it.

The student, Nicodemus Madehdou, was one of 20 young people who received an honor in Washington, DC offered by the Entertainment Association. Nicodemus designed a game called Turbo Finger Swipe, which is geared toward students K-8. The game will unconsciously teach kids how to problem solve and they will have fun, while learning. These types of games can be used in classes and students will develop skills without even know they are learning in the process.
