1973 ‘Babel II’ Anime Series Getting Japanese Blu-ray Box Set

Fans of the 1973 anime series Babel II have a lot to look forward to, potentially, with Pony Canyon Japan having announced a new Blu-ray box set for the series. Scheduled for a December 2nd,2 015 relesae priced at 38,000 yen, it’ll have the entire 39 episode run spread across six discs. The downside is that it’s an upconversion release and they’ve not had the best track record with those in the last few years – nor most other anime shows that have gone through that process. The announcement does make note that some aspects may come across as slightly or offensive to the ear, which is more towards the content itself and the time/culture in which it came from. Essentially, some of it might be just a touch racist.
