TVEnthusiast: Spotlight: Terriers

The next show to be featured on Spotlight just celebrated its 5th anniversary. Terriers, from The Shield Creator Shawn Ryan, aired on FX to almost universally favorable critical reaction. The series starred Donal Logue (Gotham), in what many consider to be his best performance. His co-star Michael Raymond-James (True Blood), popped with a charisma we had yet to see from the actor. The 2 leads had great chemistry, and their relationship served as the primary draw of the low key serialized crime series. Unfortunately, Terriers was one of several great shows debuted by, and then cancelled by FX between 2010 and 2011. Terriers was also one of several short lived projects for its Creator Shawn Ryan. The series was recently featured in this week’s Top 10 Tuesday article, focusing on shows that only lasted a single season.
