Kyn Review | NextPowerUp
Kyn is a wonderful hybrid RPG mixture by Tangrin Entertainment, set in Viking mythology, and beautiful Norse environments. The game is probably best described as a bizarre mixture between the old party-based RPG Dungeon Siege (the originals, not III), and also some deep hints of Divinity: Original Sin. Versus Evil are the people publishing this one, and the game features a few unique elements here and there, that set itself apart from typical RPG's. It has a slow down time features, six slot party combat, and a large slew of seemingly randomised crafting options. It also features a lot of the bells and whistles you might expect from a typical Action-RPG, but executes everything in a slightly different fashion. Another key aspect of the game is its weirdly linear story progession and "session" style missions and towns. Overall it's set up to be a very different approach to the staple RPG.
