Of all the genres that exist within the world of gaming, the digital trading card game remains one of the more mysterious ones for me. I haven’t spent nearly as much time with these as with many other types of games through the years, though I’ve had some experience with actual TCGs along the way. Given that I’ve not spent a great deal invested in these, I tried to keep an open mind when jumping into Diviad Games’ most recent outing. Set in a world filled with darkness, monsters, and powerful Vampire Lords, Nightbanes pits players against each other or AI-controlled opponents in a struggle for power over the land and its inhabitants. The question is how does Nightbanes hold up now that it’s making the jump from browser to Steam?
