With The Escapists, almost every form of progression is met by some kind of unforeseen road block. It’s nearly impossible to think ahead if it’s your first time playing and you’re not using a guide of some kind. That’s what I love about this game Mouldy Toof Studios has put together. It’s not impossibly difficult or unfair (mostly), but it has a good amount of surprises and head-scratchers to make victory a very euphoric moment.
