Has Sony Peaked Too Soon?
Adam from Awesome Games writes: 'The PlayStation 4 is on track to become Sony’s most successful home console of all time. But even Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida is at a loss to explain exactly why the PS4 has been such a phenomenal success.
The answer is rather obvious in hindsight. Not only did Sony create the most powerful console on the market with a significantly cheaper price point than their closest competitor, but they were also empowered by an unthinkable amount of goodwill from the most unlikely of sources. Microsoft’s inexplicably poor Xbox One reveal gave Sony an open goal to aim for; all Sony had to do was tap it in.'
