EB's Mark Steighner writes, "If Dead Effect sounds like the progeny of a late night tryst between Dead Space and Mass Effect, that’s because it is-or at least it aspires to be. Played on the cramped screen of a phone or even a more spacious tablet, the game is an above average shooter, bogged down by its freemium restrictions. Unfortunately, on PC, this port falls far short of either of its obvious inspirations."
