Console Sales – Who’s Lying Sony Or Microsoft?
Console sales, a prickly subject at the best of times. But when you get two conflicting stories from Microsoft and Sony on reported unit sales of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles in Europe, one’s gotta be right and the other has to be telling a few fibs. A few weeks ago at an PlayStation Day conference, Sony boss, David Reeeves claimed that the PS3 had surpassed Xbox 360 sales in Europe. Today though, we’ve heard David Gosen catagorically deny those claims and boasts that as far as consoles are concerned, the Xbox 360 is around three quarters of a million ahead of PS3 and has now exceeded 5 million unit sales in the EU territory. So who’s really telling the truth? Microsoft or Sony?
