Metro: Sunset Overdrive review – constant grinding.
Sunset Overdrive would’ve been a great launch game. It was never intended to be one – it hasn’t been delayed or anything – but it does fit all the classic criteria: a brand new franchise, smart new visuals that would’ve been difficult on older consoles, and simple but accessible gameplay that emphasises fun above all else. But like many launch titles it’s also extremely shallow and not the sort of game you’re likely to still be playing a year from now.
