1UP: The Sims Carnival Preview

For those of you who don’t already have enough other ways to waste time at work, EA is pleased to announce that its newest venture, The Sims: Carnival, has entered open beta as of June 17. And though that name conjures up nightmares of clowns in constant need of bathroom breaks, 1UP actually think that The Sims: Carnival — a site where users can create and play their own minigames — is one of EA’s most intriguing ideas yet, providing an interesting juxtaposition of the key elements from Spore (user-created content is necessary for the product to thrive) and Battlefield: Heroes (it’s free).
