GoodGameBro writes, "I’m still not sure of where I sit on the fence when it comes to remakes or HD remasters of titles on new systems. Sure, while it’s nice to revisit some of our favorite games, it also bears the question – when is it too much? Some titles have pulled it off remarkably well. The recently released Last of Us Remastered on PS4 is a great example. Others, such as minor touch-up jobs like Tomb Raider, have left me feeling violated after spending another $60 on basically the same game.
There is no doubt that I approached the Metro Redux remake – a remastered version of both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light with caution, but I’m happy to announce that not only did the title exceed my expectations, but also sets a new standard of exactly what a remake should accomplish; improving what was already there."
