Garriott Talks NCSoft PS3 Partnership
Robert Garriott, the Garriott without the cool rat tails, talked up the new partnership with Sony last week during a Global Gaming League interview.
The new deal will include both original IP and current IP. So that could mean games like Aion, City of Heroes or Tabula Rasa could be heading to the console. Whats weird is that yonks ago, there was an old "partner" image that made the rounds which showed all of the developers working with the 360 and NCSoft was on that list. I guess things didn’t work out.
Garriott says there won’t be anything hitting the PS3 in the next 12 months, but shortly after that some of the lighter content should hit followed, down the line, by their big titles like Tabula. The games will come both to the PSN and Blu-ray, depending on where the game best fits. Finally, NC is looking at whether games should have PC to PS3 interplayability.
