Mega evolution confirmed for new Pokémon games

"Mega evolutions for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have been announced, thanks to Japanese comic magazine CoroCoro. The 3DS remakes will follow the steps of Pokémon X and Y respectively by giving the starter three Septile, Diancie and Swampert their mega evolutions.

While there is still much in the air, it has been confirmed that Mega Septile’s type will become Grass/Dragon upon mega evolution, while the other two of the starter three will remain the same. Secondly, the abilities for both Mega Septile and Mega Swampert will be Lightning Rod and Swift Swim, respectively. Diancie’s mega evolved ability has yet to be revealed."
