In the opening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine there's a montage of Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) fighting in all the major wars since the Civil War. The section that follows them in the 1800s only lasts a few seconds. We mainly just see Logan getting shot at. But storyboards by Tim Burgard shows it could have been a longer scene with him popping claws and taking out soldiers. Tim said it's one of many revisions of the opening montage.
