Point & Click Archive: Discworld – Pixels for Breakfast
Pixels for Breakfast writes: Welcome to Point and Click Archive, a series where we delve into classic adventure games from days gone by. With the rising success of Telltale’s games, not to mention the release of Broken Age, chances are that there is a whole new generation of adventure gamers looking for the next great story. The aim of this series is to not only share some great games, but a chance for us to relive some of our favourite moments in gaming.
First up is Discworld, a wildly successful game based on the fantasy world created by author Terry Pratchett. At the time of release it was highly praised for it’s humour and voice acting, yet criticised for its puzzle design. Interestingly enough it was published by Psygnosis, the developer well known for the Colony Wars series on the original PlayStation. Phil delved into the fall of the developer earlier last year, so it’s great to see something from the team when they were at full strength.
