However great the setting is, what is so exciting about The World Ends With You is the act of surviving (read: combat) itself. With one hand on the stylus you input various commands correlating to pins you find/buy and execute wild attacks. All of this is played out on the bottom screen exclusively. In addition, you’re controlling a second character using the D-Pad AT THE SAME TIME. It’s mind-melting for the first hour or two as you grow accustomed to watching 2 screens and reacting to them both.
