"Like the movies, first person shooter games have started to merge into one single entity. This one entity can be best described as ‘Call of Duty’. Now by that I mean a large majority of FPS games are starting to look like & play like Call of Duty. Whether this is a good thing or bad thing is up each to each person to decide & argue. So when a game comes along and decides go against the trend & revives an old school FPS, it raises an eyebrow or two."
