Commodore 64 Turns 31 Years Old
It's now August, and that means that it's been 31 years since the Commodore 64 was released. In 1982, this was the home computer to have — it used BASIC; could have alternate operating systems; could run games from either a cartridge port, a floppy disk, or a digital cassette tape; had one of the first (if not THE first) online games ever made that utilized the then-new bulletin board systems; and was even competing with newer game hardware like the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System well into the late 1980s.
