Ouya won’t support online multiplayer at launch

Original-Gamer.com: Yesterday at SXSW, Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman said there won't be any multiplayer at launch as the Ouya will be "the return of couch play". People over-reacted as was expected so she wanted to reaffirm and clarify what the deal was with multiplayer on the Android console was going to provide. "We will definiately be supporting online multiplayer. Developers just need to build in the functionality."
