Just think how it would be if the phrase "Time is money" was taken literally. This is basically what this movie is all about. You age up until you become 25then after that your clock starts ticking down, the only currency is time so the rich can live forever where the poor have to fight for every second. The plus is staying 25 for the rest of your life but on the other side you always have to keep one eye on your clock to make sure you have time.
