‘Day Z’ is multiplayer survival horror done right
Robbie Hastings writes, "DayZ is a modification built on ARMA 2, a military simulation game developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio and released in 2009. The mod pulls the focus away from war to piece together a realistic, multi-player focused survival horror experience. Though in alpha testing and plagued by bugs and glitchy environments, it succeeds beautifully. The island of Chernarus is populated en masse by the undead. They wander aimlessly through every alley, around every farm, and within every factory. They are a constant element of danger."
