Ubisoft’s Haze delayed again

Timed PS3 exclusive may not appear until April or later

In Q3 financial results released today, Ubisoft revealed that its upcoming game Haze has been delayed into fiscal year 2008-09.

The game, developed by Free Radical, was originally scheduled for release during the 2007 holiday period but was subsequently delayed until 2008. Some had expected the game to arrive in January.

Although no new release date has been given for the game, Ubisoft’s 2008-09 fiscal year begins in April 2008.

The game was demonstrated at Leipzig in August and at GameCity in October.

Ubisoft has stated that Haze is currently a PS3 exclusive, but as the company has not discounted the possibility of the game appearing on the PC or Xbox 360, it is assumed that this will be a timed exclusive.

The company raised its 2008-09 guidance based in part upon Haze’s delay.
