What if Apple did create a games console?

There have been lots of rumours that Apple are developing a games console. What would happen if Apple did get into the video game community? Would it be a good or a bad move for them, and what would we expect? Apple’s products of course have many ‘fanboys’ that would- purchase this, but would you?
