PSN Play 2012 Predictions

Last year, Sony unveiled it’s own version of Summer of Arcade (strategically positioned right after Summer of Arcade). While it was definitely a copycat move, I also thought it was a good one. Sony has its own selection of exclusive downloadable titles, and it was an excellent idea to try and showcase them. There was a problem though… PSN Play didn’t end up having any Sony exclusive games. All the games were coming out on XBLA the next day (outside of the “bonus gift” of Payday: The Heist, which you got for free if you bought everything in the promotion). The lineup of games they put out made the whole promotion seem kind of thrown together.

This year, PSN Play will most likely be back, with Sony wiser with a year of experience. These are Shiny Buttons' predictions for what will be in the promotion this time around.
