Tribes: Ascend's frantic, team-oriented gameplay and free-to-play business model make it stand out in an industry that churns out generic first person shooters every other day. The attractive price tag alone is enough reason to give the game a shot. However, free-to-play games have always carried a stigma; if it’s free, it must be trash.
