This deal is freaking awesome, and extremely convineint for me.
For the past two days, I've been looking for a deal on this pretty extensively, I even placed a 25 dollar bid on a used copy yesterday, thankfully being outbid by 57 cents. Even asked two of my friends that had it if I could buy it used for 30 bucks, luckily they said no.
Wasn't willing to pay full price or more than 40 bucks for it (need the DLC too), so now I wont have to.
It's a sale for a reason. And that is because of excess inventory. EA announced 10 million shipped at launch, and we know now what happens to some of these millions.
He said it was the best fps of the year not of all time. And he's right MW3 was absolute trash so COD aside what other fps can you think of that tops them both?
Planetside 2 and ArmA 3 are slated to come out later this year so I'll hold off giving the crown to BF3 until I check'em both out.
So one website running a sale months after the game's release somehow indicates that the game did poorly? You've sure got an interesting scale of success and failure.
Anything I list is subjective so I'll leave it to your creative imagination and experience. And, like I said, people hold games in different lights in line with their own beliefs and preferences.
I looked it up and it does look like Battlefield lol. I'd play it but my laptop won't run Crysis 2 of course. Anyway, the trouble is that I'm hearing not many people play the MOD, so It'd be premature to call it "better" than bf3. If anything the BF2 mods like project reality and forgotten hope 2 still extend the games life and there really isn't any need for a bf2 with better graphics. Bf2 still has a strong community.
I've got this on PC already, but most friends play on PS3. Toys R Us had it for $30 if you bought another game listed. Now I save $10 and don't have to find someone to split with. Good call best buy.

Many people, including myself consider that beast of a game to be the true successor to BF2, for MANY reasons.
