Splitkick – Risen 2: Dark Waters Preview

Splitkick: Once or twice in each generation, the collective mindspace of game developers gets infected with a strange affliction that compels them to obsess over some cultural archetype. Ninjas are the rave until we fall in love with cowboys. Cowboys are amazing until cyborgs supplant them. We have, hopefully, just recuperated from the longest such infection in recent memory: gaming’s zombie apocalypse. We’re finally eating solid foods again and here comes Risen 2: Dark Waters, wheezing and coughing and making a compelling case why pirate fever might not be such a terrible thing.
