Does the Assassin’s Creed series needs to take a break?

Who knew a game that takes place during the Third Crusade in the Holy Land in 1191, with a plot revolving around a sect known as the Assassins (Secret Order of Hashashin) will land in 2007 and conquer the world of gaming forever.

Since Assassin’s Creed, which received generally positive reviews, and won several awards, we have also been gifted (generously) with Assassin’s Creed 2, in November 2009, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, in November 2010 and the recent Assassin’s Creed Revelations in November 15.

The thing is, the climax of the series (in its story) is to take place at the end of the year 2012 (launch of the Abstergo satellite with the POE + apocalypse) so they don't have much of a choice...

In my opinion, it's rather Revelations and maybe Brotherhood too that were expendable.
