RipTen: The build I’ve been playing for the past few days is literally light years ahead of the beta. While not the final product, Nvidia and DICE confirmed to me that what we were playing was “damn close” to final build and if this is any indication of the final product… I’m sold
That is until devs start throwing demos on the market calling them betas to escape scrutiny should fans decide their beta sucks.
In which case the devs just shrug and say "hey it's not the final product, the end result is gonna be awesome! So make sure and preorder the dlc thats coming with it"
Good on ya DICE!
If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the 64-rig setup NVIDIA had at GeForce LAN 6!

Don't see why everyone seems to think that it is so inferior. I have played every version and it is hard to tell the difference between the PS3 and 360 versions. The lighting is basically the only difference.
Yeah it was dude. Graphics looked like ass, tons of glitches (which is expected) but also graphical glitches, falling through the ground, clipping everywhere, horrific textures etc. BF3 Beta (On 360 at least) was even worse than the MOH beta. It was complete crap.
The BETA was rough around the edges but it seems like they had us on an older build. Very good to know.

YOU MADE MY DAY WITH THAT COMMENT. COD no glitches...LOLOLOLOL.
That should be a fucking feature in the game.
TOLD YA SO! It must be new kids or something that thought the beta was the real thing. I posted it everywhere that it was an alpha build and that the game had already been finished. They were just using the beta as a stress tester
It doesn't matter if DICE lost sales from the beta, word of mouth is very strong, and word will get out from people who bought it how awesome it turned out to be.
You let the public play something like that 1 month before release and you're losing sales. Forever. These people played it. They're not gonna change their mind because of some loudmouth spouting off about how it's the holy grail of shooters, no matter how good the final product turns out.
Sure, they were testing the servers, right... Because everyone's gonna look past the fact that the game played terrible because they were testing their servers. I mean come on. That has to be the lamest excuse ever. Next time you find an internet dictionary, look up fanboy. I think it defines you quite well.
EDIT:
Well, you're a fanboy because you won't hear a single word against battlefield. I made a simple point that the beta affected sales and you went on a crazy rant about how it'll never affect their sales and in effect asking me if I could do any better as a manager at dice? You're shoving your own, closed-minded opinion down everyone's throats.
Ok...so now I'm a fanboy because I stated what the reality of the situation is...you don't agree with me and that's fine, know why?
"The world is F'ed up, if it ever agrees with you your doing something wrong."
@Endoran
The reviewer didnt play it today. The game is done. It was pretty much done in August. I read about the 50 bugs they removed before the beta was even released and they said that build we were playing was from the alpha build earlier this year in February. If you remember correctly, the scopes didnt have detail at all. If you look at the pics of the finished product, they have buttons and screws along w/ scratches.
Jesus. This game is still not done? It comes out on Tuesday.
