Pachter Skeptical of THQ’s Homefront
Homefront, scheduled for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next March, is a major title for publisher THQ, which is still struggling with its overall turnaround. While THQ's Core Games boss Danny Bilson has repeatedly talked about Homefront as being "absolutely spectacular," Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter threw a hefty does of skepticism into the air.
"Management appears confident that Homefront can be a top-selling game within the shooter genre. We remain unconvinced, however, due to stiff competition from a number of shooters, and developer Kaos Studios’ limited track record (its last title, Frontlines, received a Metacritic score of 75)," he said.
