R.U.S.E. PS3 Move review - NowGamer

NowGamer reviews R.U.S.E. on PS3 - "It is a long-known fact in gaming that real-time-strategy games just don’t work on consoles. Blame the power of the mouse and keyboard, if you must, but almost every attempt to move army commanding away from its natural habitat on a PC monitor falls by the wayside. And R.U.S.E. would be exactly the same, if it wasn’t for Sony’s shiny, new Move controller. Players with a traditional controller may well become frustrated by the stickiness of the controls or lack of speed, yet with the motion controller everything becomes as simple as pointing
at the screen."

An RTS title that works well on consoles. Really want this now!

DORMIN2654d ago

Can't wait to try it myself!

Cyrax_872654d ago

Is that because of performance or Move support?

I felt they should of used the same reviewer but its no big deal...either way its obvious the psm works well enough for this title and is probably the better input device to use for ps3 owners at least

no probs

Cheers mate, I may pick this up, haven't played an RTS since C&C on the PS1 lol.

Well would you look at that. Move vastly improves upon the dualshock controller.

Move - 1
Haters - 0

I've preordered RUSE. Looks to be a great game

keep in mind, some experiences are better with the DS3 and other experiences are better with MOVE.

this is one example were you have a better experience with this game when using the move, and you wont go back to DS3 when playing RTS' on consoles.

is paying off already. It seems its precise enough to handle more genres than the other motion controllers at the no. Its interesting to see whether an internal dev can beat this 3rd party devs stab at a motion controlled rts. I know there's one in the making but its a psn game so I dont expect it to be right up there...could be wrong though

callahan092654d ago

Has any internal Sony dev ever really made an RTS before? I can't think of any but maybe it's just escaping my memory...

Shadow Flare2654d ago

Sony Online Entertainment helped Ubisoft make an RTS on psp called Field Commander. I dunno how much of a hand SOE had in the game but it's my favourite game on psp
