PlayStation Network Needs More Exclusives (RunDLC)

A couple of years ago, I was interviewing SCEA’s CEO, Jack Tretton, and the subject of exclusives came up. This was when Microsoft inked a deal with Rockstar to put timed Grand Theft Auto IV episodes on Xbox Live. When I pressed Tretton on the subject, he remarked that Sony refused to shell out millions of dollars for exclusive content. Conversely, he said, companies should want to release games on the PlayStation 3. While not a terrible stance, I couldn’t help but reflect on our talk while going through the best PSN games of 2010, and coming to the unsettling realization that most of them are also available on Xbox 360.
