It makes sense that the only game I've ever played that came close to what Heavy Rain accomplishes is Quantic Dream's prior effort, Indigo Prophecy. Compared to what it has achieved here, that game seems like proof-of-concept and is improved upon in every possible way. Heavy Rain is an experience that will have you unable to put down your controller from beginning to end, and you'll likely be looking back on what an amazing, unique and moving experience it was for years to come. I know I'll be. -

HR is everything I want in a videogame: great story, unique ideas, refreshing gameplay...
Everyone needs buy this masterpiece because Quantic Dream hit a home-run for us hardcore gamers.
before sony...I felt the same way about sega. Nintendo played to the calm safe ways and sega took risks. Nice to see sony has been able to make those risks pan out for them.
This game will develop a cult following for sure.
on Sega, I totally agree. I think the Dreamcast was such an amazing system with risky but genre defining games and stellar everything. But unlike the Dreamcast, the PS3 is taking the world by storm....
on topic: props to Heavy Rain, David Cage and all the geniuses at QD. You guys are truly amazing. And thanks Sony for doing what MS fails to do day in and day out...Step outside the trapezoid and envision and create a genre redefining experience once again....Next up GOW3!!!! Followed by Last Guardian, followed by MicroWho?
PS: I said trapezoid...Sony is well above the box folks.....
make.believe
especially to experience the very "slow start" of the game. I was a Sims fanatic so I think it'll be kinda cool to do whatever you want when you start the game while your family's out shopping. At this point I'm avoiding all reviews because the spoiler count is going through the roof.
Gamers FTW!!!
sounds like it is living up to the goals that Quantic Dream's was trying to accomplish with this game!
and i still dont know what does NA mean ?? and what does it mean when a score is B-/A+ which one is it???
N/A technically stands for Not Applicable. Same meaning, just wanted to inform you in case you went on Jeopardy or something. :-)
On Topic: The wait is almost over for this game. I have been waiting almost 4 years to get my hands on this title. I am torn between downloading this demo tomorrow and just waiting for the full game to be released. I have been on a black out. Must...remain...disciplined!!
Same as saying 8/10
IT'S TOO GOOD FOR THEM :D
PS3 FTW
I have a good feel for the controls now. I feel the way they did it really immerses you into the game. It's not just standard fare button pushing. Holding R2 to walk is slightly awkward, but I adjusted. Went up & down the hill with no problem, just haven't made it through the fight scene unscathed. I always get anxious & end up missing 1 move. Day 1 purchase for me. I know it won't be everyones cup of tea, but I know it's mine. Just don't go Matrix on me halfway through Quantic. ; )
