Electric Playground: Killzone 2 Review

"Much like Resistance 2, Killzone 2 is a great all-round package. The single player campaign is a gritty crawl through a futuristic battlefield. What makes it worthwhile is the strategy: ammo for your favourite gun will probably scarce, so you’ll need to switch up a fair bit. Plus, most of those guns aren’t very accurate, so you’ll need to grab cover and steady yourself if you want to kill the Helghast. And some of those weapons are really awesome. Give me more of the lighting gun and the exo suit. And the multiplayer is full of awesome: you can combine abilities from different classes, and level up with experience like Resistance 2 or Call of Duty. You can also gather in clans and wager Valor points in matches to see who’s the best. The game does an excellent job of warming you up, starting you at noob level and gradually giving you more multiplayer options. If you don’t want to play with other people, you can get a multiplayer-like experience during skirmish mode. I am really hoping that future shooters look to Killzone 2 as a standard for multiplayer gaming."
