EA: Open World Sims Is a Risk

With The Sims 3 being the first full new Sims game for four years, Maxis has said it's intent on taking risks to push the series forward.

One such risk is the introduction of an open world environment, which allows you to explore the town with your Sims rather than being constrained to the previous game's home 'lots'.

This might not be to everyone's taste though, according to MJ Chun, associate producer at The Sims Division. (PC, The Sims 3)
