It's too bad that more wasn't put into the PS2 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. The players on the pitch are rough around the edges with little visual improvement but the flow of the game holds up quite well. Threading passes through the aggressive AI's defense and burying one in the corner of the goal is as well done as ever, it's just not very different from the 2008 version. Become A Legend helps the package, but no online is a real letdown. Overall PES 2009 on PS2 can't compete with EA Sports' champion for the 2009 season.
