Now that the holiday season has come and gone, it's a fine time to take a look back at the games that were released at the end of 2006. The Xbox 360 has a strong lineup, with titles like Call of Duty 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas spend weeks atop the sales charts. But what about Microsoft's first-party offerings? Well, Gears of War was obviously a smash hit, both critically and commercially, while Viva Pinata was an enjoyable little title that's slowly starting to gain a cult status. After those two, well, there's nothing.
This wasn't always the case, mind you. A lot of people expected a number of first-party titles to hit store shelves, including Too Human and Forza Motorsport 2. Alas, those titles got pushed back until the first part of this year (actually, who even knows when Too Human will come out). However, it's worth noting that there are plenty of other titles coming out in the first quarter of 2007, just as we expected. The biggest of these is probably Crackdown, the latest game from Dave Jones, creator of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
