More Info on Recording Function in PS3

The developper of Mainichi Issho posted a new entry on his blog explaining the recording function in Playstation 3.

Here is a rough translation:

"The highlight of the update was definitely the video camera (recording) function.

"This isn’t a function we developped ourselves. We merely implemented what came with PS3 as a standard feature. Although it requires one SPE, it provides the ability to record on HDD without modifying the existing code too much. Wonderful! Not only that, although it depends on the recording format, the maximum resolution you can record (with one SPE) is 640*360.

For this monthly update, unfortunately, because the feature to upload movies to youtube was more important, we had limitation on resolution and bit rate."
