Indie developer Cascadia Games has snapped up the license to the classic 1994 MS-DOS game Wacky Wheels, one of the first genuinely fun post Super Mario Kat entries into the then new pint-sized racer subgenre.
Cascadia Games has been working on a comeback for old-school retro kart racer Wacky Wheels and Grab It has some details and footage showing off the work in progress.
Super Mario Kart is still probably my most loved game of all time. That will never appear on iOS, but this is looking pretty darn close. Hope it's as fun as it looks.
I like Cascadia's games, especially 2-bit cowboy. Never played the original Wacky Wheels but I like the focus points the developer is aiming for. Hope they can pull it off.
Grab It is reporting that the long-dead Wacky Wheels kart racing game is making a comeback.
They'll have to spruce it up a fair bit to compete with the Sonic and Mario Kart games, but that's still good news.
Lol. Wacky Wheels. I used to love this game. Hopefully they do it justice. If they bring it to consoles, would love to see them port over the original game. My sister would flip.
