One of a trio of upcoming titles set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe Armageddon is a much anticipated return to turn based combat. While titles used to be relatively common within the genre, with XCom clone Chaos Gate among others, the success of Dawn of War made RTS releases more commonplace. How well Slitherine handles Armageddon and its success could see a true return to the genre with full armies, and today we’ve been given our first glimpse of the game.

Here's hoping Slitherine can live up to the amazing work of Relic.
Worst case scenario is that Games Workshop hopefully will come back to Relic eventually if Slitherine fucks up.
I think its safe to assume GW and Relic are still considering more DoW RTS titles. With THQ going under Relic focused their energies on CoH 2. Sega has been pretty good with the Total War series, so its likely we will see a DoW RTS in the future.
What Slitherine is doing is completely different anyway.
I'm actually more excited by this than a RTS game. We need more strategic turn based games.
I'm hoping this turns out to be what they say it is.
